UN Environment, DTU y UNEP DTU Partnership

UN Environment

UN Environment is the leading environmental authority in the world. It establishes the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development in the United Nations system and acts as an authorised defender of the environment.

The mission of UN Environment is to provide leadership and encourage joint work in caring for the environment, inspiring, informing and empowering nations and people to improve their quality of life without compromising the future.

UN Environment works in Latin America and the Caribbean with governments, civil society and the private sector, in order to gain a better understanding of the causes and impacts of climate change on the economy and human well-being.

The organisation strives to strengthen local and national capacities to cope with the impacts of climate change; develop strategies and public policies for integrating climate change into planning for development and investment, and the implementation of pilot projects to catalyse climate change action.

UNEP DTU Partnership

The UNEP-DTU and UN Environment Partnership is a leading international institution in research and advice on energy, climate and sustainable development. As a Collaborating Center of UN Environment, the DTU-UN Environment Alliance actively participates in both the planning and execution of the Climate Change Strategy and the UN Environment Energy Program.

UN Environment and DTU work in more than 68 developing countries around the world, supporting them on transparency issues. UN Environment is one of the GEF project implementing agents with the most experience, and UNEP DTU works as your technical partner in the implementation.

Contribuciones determinadas a nivel nacional (NDC)

In the case of adaptation, the countries have focused their efforts on indicators and platform development, but have not dedicated a high % of resources from their projects to this issue.
